Bad Eating Habits

I started training at Tight Fitness in March earlier this year. In my first bio signature test I came up with 17% body fat and lots of bad eating habits. So, the strategy was to start making small changes in my diet and incorporate 3x training per week. After 3 months I saw my body the way I have never seen before. I was fit, healthy, energized and with only 8.7 % body fat.
Training with Tyrone was the best thing I could have ever done for my self and my health. His knowledge about nutrition and fitness is massive and for me, he is the best in what he does. The Bio Signature test applied during the consultations with Tyrone is very precise and gives you enough information to work with, fixing what is bad and improving what is good. Talking about nutrition, he is also an expert. I used to eat very badly and have a lot of stomach issues. After some specific changes in my diet I could see the difference in my body and most symptoms were gone.
Tyrone supported me in every step and help me to stay on track when I was losing motivation. The training sessions are amazing, exciting and tailored for each individual and their specific needs. Tyrone would really push me to my limits, creating new challenges in every session, focusing on improving my training performance and fitness condition. Erin’s Story

I’ve struggled with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) for a lot of years. This meant hormone imbalance and insulin resistance that led to massive weight gain and struggling to get it off no matter what I tried, mood swings, depression and so many other horrible health issues. I was eating (what I thought was) right, slogging it out at the gym 4-5 times a week and going to countless doctors/nutritionists/natural medicine ‘experts’ but nothing was working. I honestly thought I’d be stuck that way forever.
After moving back to the Gold Coast I did a complete life/health overhaul and more research on balancing hormones naturally and weight training and came across Tight Fitness Solutions (I also started training there for rehab after my knee operation). Tyrone’s knowledge on nutrition and training for hormones balance is incredible. He is the first professional I have seen that has actually helped me manage my condition and has inspired me to learn more about nutrition and training for hormonal conditions.
I still have a long way to go but the change I have experienced in the last year makes me so happy.
I have dropped over 25kg, fallen in love with weight training and nutrition and I no longer suffer from PCOS symptoms!

I would like to share my story in light of all the mothers out there that feel once they have had children that there is no point in working hard to keep a trim, healthy, fit body.
As mothers we say to our self, ‘life is so busy with children, we don’t have the time to take care of our own bodies’. Well I’m sorry to say but this is just an excuse?
I am a mother of six children. Yes six children. My life can be extremely busy every day with all the day-to-day things that revolve around 6 children, work and a partner.
I have been training with Tyrone for the past 2 years at Tight Fitness and I have turned my health, fitness and body shape in to something I am very proud of. Tyrone has taught me so much and encouraged me all the way.
I have tried many other gyms to exercise but my find my self-making excuses not to go. Since training at Tight Fitness it has been a very powerful thing to know you are entering a gym with someone waiting for you and they’re to guide you through the steps to a fantastic body image.
You not only have yourself to answer to but a trainer who will push you though the highs and the lows, and take you body to things you thought were never possible.
My journey began after my last child when I was unhappy with my body and developed the attitude that I didn’t really care. Not true! We all want to look good and feel good.
2 years down the track I still train 3 times a week at tight fitness and look forward to my training. I have received many compliments and now feel good about my self. I have energy to keep up with the kids, and have also joined one of my sons into boot camp and he loves it.
So if you are thinking about making that step into a healthier life or just can’t get that motivation I suggest you take that step to make a change. Being happy and healthy is the best thing we can be for our children.

Training with Tight Fitness Solutions has been a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience. The returns that I have received from my investment have gone above and beyond my expectations. Training with Tight Fitness Solutions is definitely an investment and one that everybody should be willing to make. Leading a healthy lifestyle opens so many doors.
It’s been nearly 5 years since I first met Tyrone and when I initially spoke with him my goals were simple. I wanted to lose a bit of weight and fit into my clothes better. The side effects such as strength and better health were just added bonuses in my mind. Shavaun’s Story

I approached Tyrone, as I wanted to lose as much weight as possible while also becoming fit and healthy before my holiday in Fiji.
I only had 8 weeks so Tyrone gave me an eating plan as well as an exercise plan to stick to on the days I didn’t train with him. Tyrone also suggested supplements, which would assist me with achieving my goal.
I lost 1 kilo per week being a total of 8 kilos at the end of the 8-week challenge. I lost heaps of fat off my love handles and legs which gave me a lot better shape through out my entire body.
I became fit and lean and strong.
I can say that during my challenge I felt great, I even noticed I wasn’t as run down as I normally was, I guess this comes with fitness.
I cannot believe how much weight I lost, I worked hard and stuck to my eating and exercise plan and kept up with the supplements. I couldn’t have done this on my own without the knowledge and motivation!

When I started training with Tyrone I had very specific goals. I am a model and presenter and I had 5 1/2 weeks before a major fashion parade and photo shoot. I had let a few kilos creep on over the winter period and I needed to get a really lean look in a short period of time. Tyrone said that I could realistically get to my goal and he devised a plan so that I would be looking ‘hot’ in 5 1/2 weeks. I trained with Tyrone once a week for an hour and also followed his directions in regard to my diet and exercise for the rest of the week.
My initial goal was to lose 4 kgs in this timeframe, but I actually lost over 5kgs. Not only had I lost the weight but I had gained a much better shape to my body. My tummy was now really flat and I had lost that ‘bloated’ feeling throughout my arms and legs. I also followed Tyrone’s advice in regard to supplements in my diet, which I believed helped me achieve my goal.
I have trained with other personal trainers before and Tyrone certainly pushed me harder than anyone else. And although it was hard work, it was the first time that I had actually achieved the goals that I had set and in the timeframe I needed. I continue to train once a week with Tyrone and still follow the eating plan as it works for me. I have had so many new jobs and that has to be in part due to my new figure. Thanks Tyrone.

I have always been passionate about my health and fitness, always aiming to reach my full potential. When I first started training a good few years ago, I didn’t have the knowledge or support to get me to where I pictured myself, lean and fit. To reach my full potential I needed the correct guidance, guidance that is often hard to find in the health sector. I tried and tested lots of training styles and techniques, I trained with leading health professionals on the gold coast, highly recognized personal trainers and numerous gyms and training centres. I even went on to study certificate III and IV in fitness, searching for further insight into training. It wasn’t until I started training with Tyrone at Tight Fitness Solutions that the results I had always desired started to show.
I started training with Tyrone in May 2010, weighing in at 73kg, and 19.6% body fat which I assumed was my set weight, due to my genes, DNA because it didn’t matter how much I trained or what styles I tried, I maintained that weight introducing Tight Fitness Solutions. October 2010, I weighed in at 63kgs 13.6% body fat. Tyrone’s guidance and support led me to a 10kg drop whilst maintaining my lean muscle mass, which is golden and the key to lasting results. I have never in my life had so many friends and family comment on the dramatic changes of my body, almost everyone that has known me from a young age comments on my body shape actually changing, in particular my legs. This is due to Tyrone’s scientific approach to hormones and functional medicine. I am forever grateful to Tyrone and I cannot recommend him enough!
All I can say is you need to train with Tyrone to unlock the image you desire!

Let Myself Go

Prior to training with Tyrone at Tight Fitness Solutions I didn’t realize how much I had let myself go. I had never been a gym person (so I didn’t realize how unfit I was), I was a smoker and definitely enjoyed more than a few bourbons on the weekends.
Up until I had my son in 2006 I was always naturally thin and it wasn’t until then that my weight issues began with yo-yo dieting. In 2009 I moved to the Gold Coast from Wellington, NZ and started studying in Burleigh. Here I saw a gym and thought training might be a good idea to get in shape and fit into the Gold Coast stereotype.
Tyrone taught me how important it is to be good to your body, to train because you love it and I really enjoyed the training as it was always different I never had the opportunity to get bored.
I learnt you can’t train a bad diet no matter how hard you try.
At the time I was racing drag cars and tended to drink with the boys on the weekends, a habit which I realized I had to break if I wanted to achieve my goals. The decision to train with Tyrone was one of the best I’ve ever made! My results were incredible and I believed with dedication, the body I wanted wasn’t out of my reach I just had to throw the excuses out the window.
To this day I love training, I enjoy being good to my body and feel like I’ve accomplished something everyday. My attitude is positive and I no longer feel flat and unmotivated.
It’s also a good social activity, especially if you’re new to a city.
I definitely recommend Tyrone from Tight Fitness Solutions as he made such an incredible difference in my life and helped me believe in myself.

Shae makes a better version of herself

In January 2011 I signed up to Fernwood Gym as a New Years Resolution. At the start I was too embarrassed to let anyone take my weight and measurements, I just took photos. I was having one 30 min PT session per week and spending hours on the treadmill and cross trainer… I hated every moment. In March I finally got the confidence to weigh myself and weighed in at 146kg. I started training with Ty in early April 2011 on a 12-week challenge. With Ty’s support I gave up the cardio, started weight training 4 days a week and completely changed my eating habits. Within weeks I started seeing dramatic changes in my body. In July my first Bio Signature results were 29% body fat and 126kg. I found the training very cost effective, challenging and was enjoying every session! After combining my weight sessions with two of Tight Fitness Solutions 15-week outdoor boot camps I found my fitness and strength improve week after week.
In March 2012 I had another Bio Signature and weighed in at 92kg and 22% body fat… I had smashed my personal goal of losing 50kg within 12 months. Today I’m currently sitting at 84.9kg and 17% body fat and enjoying an active & healthy life. One thing I have learnt is; It’s hard to be overweight. It’s hard to lose the weight. And it’s just as hard to maintain the weight. You just need to choose your ‘hard’ and from my experience you will have a new quality of life with no regrets.
I couldn’t recommend a personal trainer more highly than Tyrone Jensen. His knowledge of nutrition and way of training is on another level. I cannot thank Ty enough for his help in taking my life to a better place and cannot wait to continue to reach my goals with Tight Fitness Solutions.

Fat frumpy forty….. ish but funny
Well that’s how it started. I woke one morning and again, like Groundhog Day, I decided to do something about my very relaxed attitude towards getting fit, healthy and strong.
But this time I did indeed take control.
I took myself to meet Tyrone who was to become my trainer, my Achilles heel and frankly my fitness slave driver.
To say it has been easy the past 9 months would be a lie. It has been a hard challenge, an adrenalin rush and a great ego boost. I am now strong, fit and in control. I am assured of longevity and health when I eventually decide to get old.
Do you think he will make your sessions easy, not a chance? Will he push you till you drop, Yep. And I wouldn’t want it any other way. Thanks Ty. Look forward to the future training with you, and be even better and even stronger. Fit fabulous and 40.
